Applications are open for the Nanjing Forestry University (NJFU) Chinese Government Scholarship 2027–2028 under the High-Level Postgraduate Program. International students can apply for fully funded Master’s and PhD degree programs in China.

Scholarship Benefits
Selected students will receive the following benefits:
- Full Tuition Fee Coverage
- Free On-Campus Accommodation
- Monthly Stipend: 3,000 RMB for Master’s Students
- Monthly Stipend: 3,500 RMB for PhD Students
- Comprehensive Medical Insurance: 800 RMB per Year
For students living off campus, the scholarship provides an accommodation subsidy of 700 RMB per month for Master’s students and 1,000 RMB per month for PhD students.
Note: International travel expenses are not covered.
Eligibility Criteria for Students
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid identification documents.
- Applicants must be in good physical and mental health.
- Master’s applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and be no more than 35 years old.
- PhD applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field and be no more than 40 years old.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and meet the requirements of their selected programs.
- Applicants must not have been awarded another scholarship for the 2027–2028 academic year from another scholarship committee.
Language Requirements
For English-Taught Programs:
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- IELTS: 6.0 or above, with no component below 6.0
- TOEFL: 80 or above
- Proof that the previous degree was taught in English
Native English speakers are exempt from submitting an English Proficiency Certificate.
For Chinese-Taught Programs:
Applicants must have HSK Level 4 with a minimum score of 200, with no individual section score below 60.

How to Apply for Nanjing Forestry University CSC Scholarship 2027
Applicants must first complete the university application process.
- Select a suitable Master’s or PhD degree program.
- Contact a relevant NJFU supervisor and obtain a signed Provisional Acceptance Letter.
- Register on the NJFU Online Application System.
- Complete the application form and upload the required documents.
- Pay the 400 RMB non-refundable application fee and upload the payment receipt.
- Wait for the university’s initial document and academic review.
- Qualified applicants will receive further instructions from NJFU.
- Selected applicants must then complete the CSC Online Application using Type B and Agency Number 10298 and submit their Pre-Admission Notice.
- NJFU will recommend qualified candidates to the China Scholarship Council for final selection.

Required Documents List
Applicants must prepare the following documents:
- CSC Online Application Form — Required during the CSC application stage.
- Highest Degree Certificate — Notarized copy. Current students may submit an official student status certificate.
- Academic Transcripts — Notarized academic records from undergraduate studies onward.
- Study Plan or Research Proposal — Minimum 3,000 words or Chinese characters, written in English or Chinese. PhD applicants must obtain their Chinese supervisor’s signature.
- Two Recommendation Letters — From professors or associate professors, written in English or Chinese.
- NJFU Supervisor Acceptance Letter — Signed and approved by the relevant supervisor.
- Language Proficiency Certificate — IELTS, TOEFL, HSK, or accepted proof of English-medium education, as applicable.
- Non-Criminal Record Certificate — Generally issued within six months before application.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form — Valid for six months.
- Passport Information Page — Passport must remain valid beyond September 2027.
- Additional Supporting Documents — CV, research publications, personal works, and academic awards, where applicable.
Documents issued in languages other than English or Chinese must be accompanied by the required notarized translations.

Scholarship Selection and Results
Nanjing Forestry University will conduct an initial review of submitted documents and an academic assessment through the relevant colleges.
Qualified applicants will be recommended to the China Scholarship Council (CSC), which will conduct the final scholarship evaluation.
Successful applicants will be notified by Nanjing Forestry University after the final selection.
