Dalian Maritime University (DMU) has published its 2027 Chinese Government Scholarship — Type B guide for international students seeking master’s and doctoral degrees in China.

Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship provides:
- Tuition coverage.
- Free on-campus accommodation.
- Comprehensive medical insurance.
- Master’s allowance: RMB 3,000 per month.
- PhD allowance: RMB 3,500 per month.
International travel expenses are not covered.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health.
- Master’s applicants: Bachelor’s degree holders under 35.
- PhD applicants: Master’s degree holders under 40.
Recipients cannot simultaneously hold other Chinese government or institutional scholarships, apart from one-time rewards.
Language Requirements
Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 5, with a two-year validity period.
English-taught programs: Applicants may provide either:
- IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 90; or
- An English-medium instruction certificate from their previous institution and pass DMU’s internal English written or interview assessment.
Required Documents
- CSC application form.
- Notarized highest diploma; graduating applicants may submit official pre-graduation proof showing their expected graduation date.
- Notarized academic transcripts from bachelor’s studies onward.
- Study plan exceeding 1,000 Chinese characters or English words, clearly explaining the research direction.
- Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors.
- Passport copy, with expiry later than September 2027.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
- Blood test report covering HIV, VDRL, HBsAg and HCV.
- Police-issued non-criminal record.
- Language proficiency evidence.
- White-background photograph, 3 × 4 cm, no larger than 2 MB.
- Publications, awards or other academic achievements, if applicable.
Provide notarized Chinese or English translations where required. Medical documents have six-month validity; the non-criminal record must have been issued within six months. Employed applicants must also provide employment certification.
How to Apply
Step 1: Submit Your CSC Application
Visit Campus China and enter the scholarship application system.

Complete the application and upload the required documents.
Step 2: Email Your Documents to DMU
Send all application materials and the 2027 DMU-CSC Scholarship Application Checklist together in a ZIP file to:

Complete both the online application and email submission before the deadline.
Step 3: Complete the Pre-admission Process
If your application is approved, DMU will issue a pre-admission letter. Sign and upload it through the CSC portal within the requested period to complete the application.
A separate online application through DMU’s own application portal is not required.
Application Deadline and Results
Application deadline: 31 January 2027.
DMU expects to communicate final admission results by official email before the end of July 2027, subject to the CSC timetable. Successful applicants will receive instructions for downloading their admission notice and JW201 form.
