Scholarship Benefits

Full CGS usually covers tuition, accommodation or a housing subsidy, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance. Partial awards cover selected benefits.

Eligibility and Language Requirements

Applicants need foreign nationality, a valid passport, and a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree by Fall 2027.

HSK is not required. Non-native English speakers need IELTS 6.5, equivalent evidence, or institutional certification of an entirely English-taught degree. TOEFL iBT requirements are 80 for tests before 21 January 2026, or 4.5 for tests on/after that date.

How to Apply — University Portal First, CSC Portal Afterwards

Step 1: Apply to Tsinghua University

Submit your admission application through the Tsinghua International Graduate Application System.

CSC applicants must complete this step by 27 November 2026, 5:00 PM Beijing time.

Step 2: Follow the College’s Assessment and Recommendation Process

Follow Qiuzhen College’s assessment instructions and seek the department’s scholarship recommendation. Tsinghua’s published Type B procedure requires pre-admission and departmental recommendation.

Step 3: Complete the CSC Application When Instructed

The CSC portal is also required for the Type B scholarship application.

Under Tsinghua’s currently published procedure, applicants should complete, submit, and download the scholarship application through the CSC online application system after being informed by their pre-admitting school or department.

Therefore, the sequence is:

Tsinghua application → Pre-admission and departmental instructions → CSC portal application → University nomination and CSC review.

Check your email regularly and complete the CSC stage within the deadline communicated by the department. Missing the required submission can result in losing scholarship candidacy.
