Scholarship Coverage
SAIF advertises scholarship support reaching full tuition coverage. The exact award package—including living allowance, insurance and accommodation support—must be checked in the SJTU application system or confirmed with gs.admission@sjtu.edu.cn.
SJTU’s graduate scholarship guidance specifies accommodation subsidies according to the award, rather than a general promise of free dormitories.
Eligibility
Applicants need:
- Non-Chinese nationality and a valid passport.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent before enrollment.
- Good health, good conduct and no criminal record.
- Compliance with the applicable SJTU admission and scholarship requirements.
Applicants from different academic backgrounds may apply. The FinTech track expects preparation in mathematics, statistics and programming.
Language Requirements for Pakistani and Other Applicants
- Pakistan: NTS GAT General ≥70%, within two years, is listed among accepted Master’s qualifications.
- IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall; 5.5 each component.
- TOEFL and other accepted tests: Check the linked policy’s date-specific thresholds.
Country-based waiver: Previous study must be in an SJTU-recognised English-speaking country, taught and examined in English, completed within two years, with original letterhead evidence. Citizenship alone is insufficient.
Recognised countries include the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Singapore. Pakistan is absent from that waiver list; a Pakistani MOI letter does not automatically establish exemption.
HSK is optional for SAIF MF. A professor’s acceptance letter is not required.
