Are you planning to study in China with a university-funded scholarship? Applications are open for the Dalian University of Technology (DUT) International Students Presidential Scholarship 2027–2028.

The scholarship is available for international students applying for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degree programs at Dalian University of Technology. DUT offers both Full Scholarships and Partial Scholarships to eligible international students.

🟢 Full Scholarship

The DUT Full Presidential Scholarship provides:

• Full tuition fee waiver
• Free on-campus accommodation
• Monthly stipend

Monthly Stipend

Master’s Students: 1,500 CNY/month
Ph.D. Students: 1,800 CNY/month

Note: International travel expenses and one-time subsistence allowance are not covered and must be paid by the student.

🟡 Partial Scholarship

The Partial Scholarship covers tuition fees only.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s Degree

Applicants must:

• Apply as a new international student at DUT.
• Hold a high school/secondary school diploma.
• Have an excellent academic record.
• Be under 25 years of age.

Master’s Degree

Applicants must:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Have an excellent academic record.
• Be under 35 years of age.
• Applicants applying from outside China must provide two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors.

Ph.D. Degree

Applicants must:

• Hold a Master’s degree.
• Have an excellent academic record.
• Be under 40 years of age.
• Applicants applying from outside China must provide two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors.

🗣️ Language Requirements

For English majors IELTS is not mandatory, English Proficiency Certificate is Enough.

🌐 How to Apply for DUT Presidential Scholarship 2027–2028

Unlike the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), applicants for this DUT Presidential Scholarship do not need to submit a CSC application.

Application Process

1. Complete the online application through the DUT International Student Application System.
2. Select the program “Scholarship.”
3. Complete the Application Form for DUT International Presidential Scholarship.
4. Upload all required documents to the DUT online application system.
5. Submit the application successfully.
6. After successful submission, an application number should be generated. If no application number appears, check whether your application was properly submitted.

📑 Required Documents for Master’s & Ph.D.

1. DUT Application Form for Foreign Students — completed through the online application system.
2. Application Form for DUT International Presidential Scholarship — Attachment 6.
3. Notarized Highest Degree Certificate — Ph.D. applicants must provide both undergraduate and Master’s qualification documents.
4. Academic Transcripts — from undergraduate level onwards, as applicable.
5. Study Plan/Research Proposal — minimum 1,000 words — in Chinese or English and signed by a DUT supervisor.
6. Two Recommendation Letters — from professors or associate professors.
7. Foreigner Physical Examination Form — examination results are valid for six months.
8. Blood Test Report — including HIV, Syphilis/VDRL, HBsAg and HCV results.
9. Passport Copy — passport should expire after September 2027; provide the photo page and one blank visa page.
10. Language Proficiency Certificate.
11. Certificate of No-Criminal Conviction — valid for six months. If unavailable at the application stage, the specified No Criminal Record Commitment may temporarily be used.
12. Other Supporting Materials, where applicable, including employment certificate, Chinese visa copy for applicants currently in China, photograph, and optional supervisor acceptance letter.
