Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health.
- Have an academic score of 75/100 or above.
- Demonstrate strong research abilities.
- Not concurrently hold another scholarship.
- Meet the Chinese-language requirements outlined below.

Chinese-Language Requirements
Applicants must provide a valid HSK Level 4 certificate with a score of at least 180, obtained within the previous two years.
Applicants who have not achieved HSK Level 5 with at least 180 points must:
- Complete one academic year of Chinese-language study.
- Achieve HSK Level 5 with at least 180 points before beginning their major studies.
Applicants who obtained a degree from a Chinese university through Chinese-medium instruction are exempt from submitting HSK certificates.

Required Documents
Prepare the following application materials:

Complete and submit the CSC online application, then print and sign the generated application form. - Notarized highest diploma
Current students should also provide an official pre-graduation certificate. Employed applicants should provide an employment certificate issued by their employer. - Academic transcripts
Submit your academic records with notarized Chinese or English translations where required. - Study and research plan
Write at least 1,000 words in Chinese or English and sign the document yourself. The university emphasizes that this plan is an important part of its evaluation. - Two recommendation letters
Letters must be written in Chinese or English by associate professors or higher-ranking academics and must bear the recommenders’ signatures. - Passport information/photo page
